'Glacier's Memory' Data Art Installation

Inspired by Name, this project transformed 100 million data points on glacial melt 27 into an immersive ""living painting."" We trained a custom Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) on a dataset of 50 years of climate satellite imagery and sonic data of ice cracking. The resulting algorithm generates abstract, pulsating visuals that respond in real-time to environmental sensors in the gallery. This installation moves beyond simple data visualization, offering an emotional, visceral connection to climate change, using data as a pigment.10
