You are not alone on this journey
Share openly to transform your relationship dynamics
Most of us develop relationship patterns early in life that continue to influence our connections with others, often outside our awareness. These underlying dynamics can manifest as recurring conflicts, emotional distance, excessive dependence, or difficulty maintaining healthy boundaries.
The "Inner Circles" group creates a reflective space where these patterns become visible through shared experiences and guided exploration. As we witness others' stories, we often recognize aspects of ourselves, reducing isolation and creating possibilities for change.
Our structured approach helps participants identify the invisible threads connecting past experiences to present relationships. This increased awareness becomes the foundation for intentional choices rather than automatic reactions based on outdated survival strategies.
Many relational challenges stem from unexamined expectations, unclear boundaries, or communication styles that no longer serve us. In our group, participants develop practical skills for expressing needs authentically, establishing healthy limits, and remaining present during difficult conversations.
Healing relationship wounds doesn't mean erasing the past or pretending harm didn't occur. Instead, it's about integrating these experiences into a more complete understanding of ourselves and others, freeing up energy previously consumed by unresolved emotions.
Understanding others in our lives requires recognizing their separate realities and experiences. Participants often experience profound shifts in perspective as they learn to distinguish between others' behaviors and their own interpretations and emotional responses.
Developing a compassionate relationship with yourself forms the foundation for all other connections. Many participants discover that patterns of self-criticism or neglect mirror their relationships with others, creating opportunities for parallel healing processes.
The insights gained through group work translate into tangible improvements in daily interactions. Participants frequently report more satisfying conversations, decreased conflict, greater emotional intimacy, and an increased sense of authenticity in their most important relationships.

The unique power of group therapy
Why group therapy is so effective
Group therapy provides a dynamic learning environment that accelerates personal growth through shared experiences and multiple perspectives. Witnessing others work through similar challenges offers new insights impossible to gain through individual work alone.
The collective wisdom of diverse life experiences creates a rich tapestry of understanding. Group members often provide insights and reflections that complement the therapist's perspective in unexpected and valuable ways.
The group setting offers a unique laboratory for practicing new communication skills and receiving immediate, honest feedback in a supportive environment. This real-world practice is invaluable for developing lasting relationship habits.
Being truly heard and understood by others who have no personal agenda in your life can be profoundly healing. Many participants experience breakthrough moments of insight when hearing others articulate similar struggles.
Is this group right for me?
Identify Recurring Patterns
This group is well-suited for individuals seeking to understand recurring relationship patterns that appear across different contexts in their lives.
If you notice similar dynamics emerging with various people or struggle with persistent feelings of disconnection, this group offers valuable insights.
Open to Self-Reflection
Participants who benefit most come with openness to self-examination and a willingness to consider their role in relationship dynamics. While we don't focus on assigning blame, personal growth requires some readiness for honest reflection.
The group welcomes adults of all backgrounds and relationship statuses. Whether you're navigating family relationships, partnership challenges, workplace dynamics, or social connections, the principles explored apply universally.
Timing Is Important
Those currently experiencing acute crisis or severe psychological distress may benefit from individual support before joining group work. Our preliminary consultation helps determine appropriate timing for participation.
Complementary to Individual Care
While relationship work often alleviates symptoms of anxiety or depression, this group isn't primarily focused on symptom management. Participants with significant mental health concerns may benefit from complementary individual therapy.
What past participants say
"Participating in Dr. Peterson's group completely transformed how I understand my relationships. I've spent years repeating the same patterns, but through this experience, I finally recognized my unconscious expectations and how they were affecting every relationship in my life. The changes I've experienced feel both profound and natural."
"I joined the group feeling completely stuck in my relationship with my teenage daughter. Hearing other parents' experiences and receiving feedback in such a supportive environment helped me see how my own unresolved issues were influencing our interactions. I now have practical tools that have made a remarkable difference in our connection."
"After my divorce, I found myself repeating unhealthy relationship patterns. This group helped me understand why I was attracted to certain dynamics and how to create healthier connections. The combination of psychological insight and practical skills was exactly what I needed, and the support from other group members was invaluable."
